Hi. I'm Miriam.
I'm currently a designer at Carbone Smolan Agency. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 2016 with a major in Communication Design and a concentration in Industrial Design.
My goal is to add visceral meaning through interaction. I believe in creating sensory experiences, making people feel. Through aesthetic experiences design should be used to connect people to themselves, others, and their surroundings. I see an opportunity to transform systems and services into significant events, by consciously crafting each step of the user’s journey, while examining challenges holistically.
But I'm not just a designer in theory...
1. I always have something in my hands: kneaded erasers, straw wrappers, hair ties. I can't stop making things.
2. My favorite ride at Disney World (since the age of four) is the carousel of progress because I love imagining the future.
3. Most of my closet is comprised of black and gray shirts,
which is difficult to manage when you have a white dog.
